studio carta

Studio Carta was founded by Angela Liguori in 2004. Originally from Rome, Angela conceptualizes, designs and sources high-quality custom ribbon, products and accessories made exclusively in Italy using materials and practices that date back to the 19th century.

At the core of the brand exists high-quality products: 100% cotton ribbons, specialty office and crafting supplies, notions and custom letterpress paper. Over the years, Studio Carta has grown into a multi-dimensional brand by selling a range of exclusive products both online and brick and mortar, conducting a vibrant wholesale and retail business, hosting DIY workshops and events, collaborating and partnering with other designers, makers and small businesses. Tucked away at the tail end of a row of craftsmen storefronts, Studio Carta provides the perfect finishing touch to any project: luxe Italian cotton ribbon imported by proprietor Angela Liguori, who works directly with manufacturers to develop her exclusive selection. The Rome-born designer and bookmaker also stocks handmade journals, stationery, vintage stamps and specialty office accessories. Shop hours are by appointment only, but keep watch for Liguori’s pop-up events where her husband serves espresso while artisans mix and mingle.
